The Life of a Hairstylist in TV and Film - Life Lessons

Life Lessons: Last weekend before heading out to see some friends I stopped at 7-11 to pick up some things. Sitting outside, on a very cold evening, was a homeless man. He wasn’t begging just sitting alone. Something about him made me stop and I asked him if he would like some food. He said “Actually I would just really like a beer but they won’t serve me”. He was being honest and that was refreshing. I offered to get him one. He was genuinely grateful at that moment. I know most of you out there at this point are wondering why I would contribute and the truth is because he was honest about what he wanted. I appreciated that and thought I could help bring a smile to his face. No matter what the position is everyone deserves to smile each day. So I walked into 7-11 and realized I hadn’t asked what he liked. As I retuned outside he was being harassed by a non-homeless man. This “rude” man picked up the homeless mans things and started throwing them at him while yelling “you piece of sh*t”. He then picked up said items and said “I’m taking these” and threw out this mans items. I was so stunned I wasn’t sure what to say. It happened so quickly and the guy was gone. The homeless man looked at me so kindly with a tear in his eye and said “ he is very angry”. I actually started to tear at the thought of the amount of hatred and anger shown to this man who did nothing wrong. I asked him what beer he liked and returned inside. I bought him two beers and some pizza. When I gave the man his items he was so grateful he cried which of course, for those who know me, made me burst into tears. You ask why I am telling this somewhat random story? This is why…. yes there are so many homeless men, women and children out there. Can it get annoying that they stand on every corner and beg? Yes. But here is the real truth…Although a lot of them are in it for drugs or considered lazy they are still human beings. They are still someones child, parent, grandparent or sibling. I ask all of you out there to remember to be kind. Take a minute to look into someones eyes and know that they are going through things too. We all have ups and downs. Some of us are lucky to have friends and family to turn to but not everyone is. We all need a reminder sometimes. Its sad that we may need reminders to be kind. Even I need to remember that when I am having a bad day doesn’t mean I have to make someone else's day awful. When you are rude to people, talk behind their back, or are just downright rude remember that there is someone on the other end of that who will get hurt. I work in an industry where people are not always the nicest. People steal peoples work, they take credit where credit isn’t due, they steal jobs, they are lazy…they are human. This is all apart of the human experience. But please remember the next time you steal an idea, are rude to a homeless man, take someone else's shine that those people are human. They bleed, they hurt, and their soul dies a little each time. Be kind, grow, learn and treat others with respect. We all deserve it. And who knows… maybe you can makes someones day instead of breaking it! Wouldn’t you rather be remembered for that?

Life of a Hairstylist in The Union

Time for that check in! So much has happened per usual. As I have spent the last several years doing hair and trying to figure out which way I want to go with it I can now announce I AM A PART OF THE LOCAL 706 union for film and TV. I had the opportunity to work on a movie called “Curve” at the end of last year. I worked with amazing people and made some pretty amazing friends. Although I have worked in film and TV before this was a big eye opener for me. I felt at home. For the past few months I have had the opportunity to work with some incredible people. A few weeks ago my eyes were opened to a whole new world when I fell in love with a 97 year old man. Before you freak out it’s not like that. To be fair I have to fight the stunning Angelina Jolie for him. This mans name is Louis Zamperini and was not only a prisoner of war but he has survived miracles. This is not why I fell in love with him though. Through all of his trials and tribulations in life Mr. Zamperini has the most positive outlook on life and it is beyond contagious. He is charismatic and at 97 has more brainpower and memory than I do at 30. He knows everything from politics to sports and even if those aren’t your topics he captivates you. It’s hard not to just fall for his every word. He will have you laughing and feeling happy in no time. I had the privilege to do hair and makeup for him that day along with the amazing Tom Brokow. Mr. Brokow was interviewing Louis and Angelina Jolie. What a day and may be my favorite thus far in my career. Of course there have been so many other amazing jobs I have had recently. I am happy to report I am happy waking up at crazy hours and getting to do what I love every day. Although the job is far from glamorous it is where I belong. Thank you to all of you who have been by my side through this bumpy journey. I look forward to sharing my adventures with you. Also my favorite beauty product this week is Julie Hewitt Lip Balm! It quite amazing! Until Next time….

The Life of a Hairstylist - Q & A with Marianne Parise & more....

To start off I am excited to share that I am currently booked on a movie which is going very well! One week down and I am super excited to be a part of it. I look forward to sharing details as I go along.... Now for the fun stuff.... For this round I wanted to do a Q & A with an incredible makeup artist and good friend Marianne Parise. I also asked Facebook if anyone had makeup and hair questions that they wanted answered. So here we go... Q: Favorite go to product A: Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Q: Airbrush or regular old-fashioned foundation? A: Regular for most things. Airbrush for whole body makeup/characters. Airbrush just looks too plastic on faces. Especially with HD cameras. Q: Favorite makeup line? A: Gerda Spillman for foundation. Best I've found so far. Favorite full makeup line: Makeup Forever (love their HD powder!) They have a great variety of products but I like to mix it up and use products from multiple lines. Q: Favorite project you've worked on? A: A short student film called "Atascadero". I did A LOT of work on it, but had a great adventure Q: Any fun makeup tricks? A: use a clean makeup sponge like an eraser to remove eye makeup flaws and clean up edges of lips. Works like a charm. Blemishes-Before applying anything to your face make sure it's clean. If you have a reddish blemish put a few drops of Clear Eyes on it and give it a few minutes to absorb. This will ease the redness and inflammation a bit. Once it dries go ahead and apply moisturizer and give that a few minutes to absorb. Then either foundation or primer if you need it to last longer. Q: Do you prefer day makeup vs. night makeup? Or special effects? A: Tough question... FX. I feel like there is more creative freedom in creating characters and more challenge. With beauty makeup the biggest challenge is usually the client... Facebook Questions: Q: What's a good, polite, direct way to tell your hair dresses exactly the haircut you want without sounding too demanding and still ending up with the haircut you want. I'm always too scared to get my hair cut, and someone's too shy to speak up when the cut starts going in the wrong direction, then ending up with the cut I didn't want because I wasn't brave enough to say anything.... A: Great question! There are several ways to go about this but here is a good guideline to follow.... 1) You have to figure out the type of feel you are going for. Bring in pictures as examples and get into the specifics. Discuss the vibe you're going for. There are different kinds of long layers for example. They can be romantic or funky, or edgy. 2) Show, don't just explain. If you want the hair a certain length show them exactly where. For some reason, an inch seems to be different for everyone these days. Draw an imaginary line. The visual will be so helpful and might give them a better picture of exactly what you want. 3) Don't be afraid to be honest. As a hairstylist we don’t care how much you wash your hair, blow dry your hair etc..., just tell the truth. We can't help you with out honesty. The hairstylist really does need all the facts to be able to give you what you want in the way that can work for you and your lifestyle. 4) Ask about styling, especially if you're getting a brand new style. This can also help determine the type of cut and will help the stylist with a visual. Ask questions. 5) If you see the cut going in the wrong directions speak up! We need to know if you aren't happy. The kindest way is to be sweet but firm. "I don't mean to jump in but I can tell that I wasn't able to get my vision across." "I don't mean to butt in but can you explain your process? I don't think this is going the way I expect". Egos or not the beauty industry is a service industry. This is a service you are paying for. When you go out to eat and the food is cold or not what you expect you send it back right? Well this is very similar. Just stay calm and speak up. It doesn't help us if you freak out! Q: I am crafting a costume of Mary Todd Lincoln. The wig that I am using is beautiful but the fibers are so slick, I can't even keep it in a braid. Any ideas? A: Yes! A mattifying hairspray (non shiny) would be great. Another helpful hint would be a dry shampoo or texturizing spray. It should stop it from being so slick! Q: Any favorite hair products? A: Well that depends on what you're looking for but yes! Here are a couple of my faves: Unite 7 seconds leave in conditioner Prive product line as a whole is amazing White Sands beach spray Moroccan hair spray is light but workable Q: What is one good lesson you have learned since being a hair stylist? A: I have learned so many lessons but a good one is to always listen to you clients. When I say listen I mean listen to what they are asking for as well as the problems they love to tell. Don't give advice just maybe life experience. Also don't take things personally. Thank you for those of you who sent in questions! There were a few more and I will continue to get to them I promise! The Life of a Hairstylist (Assistant No More)

What a crazy few months it has been since I last checked in! I had a conversation with a client a while back who said "even though I can't afford vacations I take them and then the opportunities present themselves". Why do I tell you this? Because I applied it to my life ever since. I decided to try this "positivity" thing everyone keeps telling me about and the doors that have opened up have blown me away! In the last few months I have been given opportunities I didn't think were possible along with some mini vacations I have really needed. I have worked more on set, more with some amazing people, headed to Newport for some R & R and Big Bear with some of the coolest people I know :) I know this may not seem like a big deal to most but let me tell you...for me THIS IS HUGE! I am the kind of girl who will shy away or turn things down out of fear and enough is enough! Now I throw myself in blind and figure whatever happens happens. So far so good! I have had some amazing opportunities I would love to share with you all. I received a call from my good friend Ryan Kwanten offering me a lead hair and makeup job on a top secret shoot. I have to say it was one of the most fun shoots with the coolest group of people I have worked with so far. This project, now known as 'Venom: Truth in Journalism", transports you back to the 80's through the eyes of Eddie Brock a.k.a Venom. It is based off of a comic book character and truly worth checking out! It was released at this years Comic Con and got the BEST reviews! it continues to build momentum and was a project I was incredibly grateful to be a part of! Joe Lynch, the director really knows how to have fun on set! He even had an 80's theme dress competition for the crew, sadly I did not win, which made the experience so much more fun :) We had such an adventure on set from filming in the heart of the grossest ally in downtown I have ever seen to an apartment that had nothing but clown shoes left behind in a closet. There is nothing more grounding then walking down an ally downtown to see nothing but pee, poop, needles and half naked homeless couple who I am almost positive were having sex in their cardboard home! Always an adventure on set! I have had the opportunity to work with some of Hollywoods finest and have met some incredible people. One of these people was Sir Anthony Hopkins who I had the pleasure of working with behind the scenes at the D23 Convention. For those of you who don't know what that is, like I didn't, it's Disney's version of Comic Con. I have done everything from making someone's hair look as though it was eating their face, A list celebrities on set to preparing some fine folks for awards shows. As days go on I am finding a place in the chaos. I am excited and feeling more positive every day that I am where I am supposed to be. I am so grateful for everyone who has been by my side day in and day out. Thank you for the support you have given me to keep going. I couldn't be where I am today with out you. Now that may all sound like an Academy Award speech but I am just prepping for my future ;) But seriously thank you. As one last piece of exciting news my website IS OFFICIALLY UP! Please feel free to check it out, see my progress, contact me for bookings and more. WWW.SAMRSTYLES.COM

Life Of A Hairstylist (assistant no more)- Who is the boss of your hair?

As I have been working at a blow dry bar, and freelancing as my own boss, I have come to realize there is one very important question in life….Who is the boss of your hair? I have clients sit in my chair daily. I have the clients that trust me to do my job, I have the clients that direct me as though they are the director of their own major film (It is LA right?), and I have the clients that are somewhere between the 2. There is almost always a patch, piece or portion of hair that people refer to as the “stubborn” piece. As a licensed stylist I fight these pieces over and over. I have learned to maneuver, bend, flat iron, curl and take hold of these stubborn pieces. The usual response when I am done is “Why can I never get my hair to look like this?”. The answer? I am trained to take hold of you hair and, excuse my French, make it my bitch. On that note…its all about learning how to work with what you got. Product, education and your “war weapons” (irons, blow dryers, etc…) are a good start to winning the battle. Lately I have been a fan of Moroccan Oil Hydration cream. It really seems to do the trick (only a small amount). I have also become a major, major fan of their brushes (which you can get on amazon). After applying a small amount of the hydration cream, and sectioning your hair get in there with a round brush. Make sure you use a lot of tension and always hit the hair from different angles. When you’re done blow drying you can always use a flat iron or curing iron to finish styling or help with the pesky pieces. The Moroccan finishing spray or hairspray is a really good light spray to use that is easy to brush out. Now it may seem like I am a Moroccan Oil spokes person in this blog, and although I love their products, there are plenty more that I use and will most likely bring up in another blog. Just remember when you are at home and battling, fighting or having and all out brawl with your hair that a small amount of product and a lot of tension can really go a long way. As a girl with incredibly curly natural hair I can personally say that when I do my own hair….well to be honest we don’t get along AT ALL. It’s never easy doing your own hair. It’s also never a bad thing to ask for help. After all… that is why there are professionals ☺ Stay tuned for more blogs coming soon and if you have any hair questions feel free to go to my facebook and email me directly! https://www.facebook.com/srstyles

The Life Of An Assistant (Hair Stylist)... Being Your Own Boss

Time for an update! Whew it's been a while and so many awesome things have happened.... The last post I made was a rather personal post. I had just started doing makeup a bit more. I went through my growing pains and I am coming up on the other side...and the other side is looking really good. As some of you know I took some time off from makeup and hair for a bit (I am back). I thought I was losing my passion for what I love so I took a step back. I found a job as a house manager for an actor, wife and 5 kids. It was an eye opener to say the least. They were a lovely family but I realized as I was working for them I was losing myself again. So I left and came back to what I know. As much of an adventure as that was, may I remind you they have 5 kids, I was ready to start being me again. This takes me to the past few months....I started working at one of those popular blow dry bars which has been a blast. I am able to keep working on what I love while also having the freedom to freelance and be my own boss for once. I have had the opportunity to do hair and make up for 2 interviews on Entertainment Tonight (Ron Howard and Brian Chesky CEO of Airbnb), I was able to do hair on an amazing shoot with the beautiful and awesome Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect), I have done makeup in several photo shoots and so much more. Another awesome moment was going to the premiere of the movie I worked on "Sexy, Evil, Genius" (see earlier blogs). It has officially been released and you can grab a copy on Amazon or Itunes. (wink, wink) If all of that isn't enough...I am working on joining the film and television hair union (should be happening shortly) AND my very first website will be up hopefully within the next week or so. After all these years of working for others (I still do part time) it's so nice being my own boss. It gets overwhelming and exhausting but it has been so rewarding. ************************************************************************************************************** Growing up as far back as I can remember I wanted to be a therapist but let's face it...I didn't have the energy or the focus to go through all the schooling that's required. One of the things I love about my job is I am constantly meeting new people. These people sit in my chair for about 45 minutes and divulge their deepest secrets. They feel comfortable talking to me about things they sometimes don't even tell their best friend. This can be awkward sometimes depending on the secret but every once in a while I get to share my experience, strength and hope with them. Its a little piece of bliss, comedy, and sometimes therapy for myself. I get to share moments with others without learning about them and their every move on facebook or instagram or some social networking site. How cool is that? Human to human interaction! It's something I find rare these days. I had this amazing client the other day. She was an older lady who really just made me rethink things. She shared with me that she was a grief counselor. She went into that profession after finding out her son was murdered while living in China (he was there teaching English and wanted to do so in several countries). Intense right? Well instead of building hate and anger this woman became a fighter. She is still fighting (almost 10 years later) to get to the truth of what happened to her only son. She spent her life teaching children in South Central and resembled those teachers you've seen in movies like "Dangerous Minds". A rare breed. She started a basketball league for these kids trying to keep them out of the 18th street gang and gained their trust. She was able to get all of the kids to a Laker game which was a dream for them. She did all of this and so much more. There was a sad beauty about this woman I couldn't shake for days. She had strength and courage. These are 2 things I fear I wouldn't have if I lost my only son. She gets up every morning to make the world better. She fights. She keeps going... The point of this story you ask? Well everyday I get to learn about life from some amazing (and maybe some not so amazing) people. It's a constant reminder to get up every morning and go after what I want, be who I want, fight for what I want and most of all enjoy doing what I want. I have been given the opportunity to listen...really listen. I may not always like what I hear but I sure as hell learn a LOT! I am grateful for that. I am blessed for that and every day I get to enjoy a tiny bit of bliss in those moments. On that note... I will post again as soon as my website is finished!!!! So until next time....

It's been a long 9 months!

So it's been a while. 9 months to be exact. For those of you who know me this has been one of the hardest years of my life. I make it a point not to make these posts so personal but I am going to make a one time exception. Just to catch you up as to why such a long break has happened you need to know a little more about me. I am rapidly approaching my 30's, switched careers a few years ago, I have a huge love of animals, my friends and my family. I am a hopeful romantic and was the little girl who grew up watching romance movies like The Notebook and Sleepless in Seattle waiting for prince (or princess) charming to show up at my door and sweep me off my feet. I swear up and down romance doesn't exist but I wait for it and I believe in the grand gesture. I change my mind often, I love deeply and if you are my friend I will be the first one to fight by your side if you need me. I may have my mood swings like anyone else but I am never out to hurt you. This year...wow... where to begin... This year I beat cancer, lost love, friends, one of my nephews and I walked away from the first job I really loved. I made a lot of mistakes in the mean time and may have hurt some people in the process. To those of you that I hurt know how terribly sorry I am. I gained love, I made new friends, I got closer to the friends I lost and I started to learn more about me. This year has been about growing, about figuring out what I want and what I don't, how far I can be tested and what I am worth. I've learned that making mistakes is OK, I've learned that I am worth more then I have been told and mostly I have learned how to laugh again (Thank you to a special few...you know who you are). I learned that you should never be anyone but yourself and don't compromise who you are for anyone. I learned to walk away from physical and verbal abuse. I learned to value myself more. I went back to school to learn makeup and got smacked with the hardships of finding a job like a lot of the country. I know this is a lot of information...really personal information..but I think it's important to be honest. I tend to make excuses or cover up how I feel and I realized if I am going to start this blogging process again I need to be a little more vulnerable and put myself out there a little more. So now you know. This is me...the short version. The truth is I miss writing my blogs and I have been feeling a little more inspired lately. As for work I have been doing hair on the side and I am now doing makeup as well. I had the honor of graduating from Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy and have since worked on fashion events with them, done photo shoots and have had some wonderful meetings about potential opportunities for the future. I look forward to updating this as much as I can, posting photos and getting my work out there. Thank you to anyone who has supported me in my journey and thank you for reading my blog! Until next time....

Life as an assistant -New Year, New Deals, New Email

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!

I hope you are all doing well. I am excited to tell you all about some new things going on in my hair world.

For starters I have a new email for all of my clients to reach me at. Samrstyles@gmail.com
You can now book appointments through that email address or text/call my cell.

I am also running some new promotions I'd like to share with you all. If you refer someone to me I will be offering you %50 off any service and I will be giving %50 off your friends first service as well. I have coupons that look like the following that I will customize for you and the new client that look like this:

You can email me the info, I will customize the coupon and just bring it in at the time of your appointment.

I also am doing a drawing the first of every month. You have to email me or text me your name and contact info and I will put them all in a hat and the first of every month I will pull one name and that person will get a free service or treatment on their hair. So make sure you send me all your info. You may enter as many times as you'd like to increase your odds :)

As for the new things going on...I am one step closer to having my own chair at the salon. Just a couple more cuts and I am done :) I am loving the salon I work for and the people I work with. I have continued to do reshoot for the movie I have been working for. I recently ran into Seth Green and his adorable wife at the laker game where he told me the movie is looking AMAZING and is currently being shopped.

I have been cutting and coloring a lot of hair in the past few months and would like to thank everyone, including Mike, Ryan and Caitlin (who I went to high school with), for trusting me with their hair :) I've continued working with some of my favorite clients who are quite a trip. There is one old client who has been married to her husband for 60+ years and when I asked her what her secret was she responded (in her very thick New York accent:
"Compromise. It's all about compromise. Also when he tells you what he wants you to do you say ok then do what you want anyways".
It was a pretty interesting conversation.

I had another walk in from craigslist which is always crazy and within 10 minutes of meeting her I knew her whole life story. She told me she was in an arranged marriage for a few months with a man from the middle east who won't have sex with her but will masturbate 7 to 8 times a day. WHOA BUDDY that caught me off guard. But then again I guess she really needed someone to talk to.

Another exciting piece of news...I did hair for JLO's after party for the AMA's at Greystone Manor. Such a fun experience. She wanted models walking around the party so I was hired to do their hair. After that I shared a glass of champagne with Chaka Khan (totally surreal) and we talked all about her amazing fro (seriously awesome). She curses like a sailor. I mistook Chris Brown for Sisqo, not to his face thank god (dude don't bleach your hair out!). JLO was rocking a high pony tail which is coming back with a bang along with the usual cali beach waves and there was quite a bit of BIG hair. Lots of volume.

Well that's enough about me. I hope you are all still enjoying reading these blogs. If you know anyone that would like to be added to the email list send me their contact info!

I am currently booking appointments for all of your hair needs and don't forget to send info for the drawing and tell friends to come in for the discounts! :)

See you all really soon!

Life as an assistant - Glitz, Glam and Fashionistas

Whew what a crazy few weeks! Since it has been longer then intended I figured I'd check in with all of you. Between working in the salon and LA FASHION WEEKEND things have been a little nutty.

In the salon: Every Friday we have an old client tat comes in and its her "social hour" which is really a few hours. She comes in for a treatment and blow dry but stays for hours talking to anyone she can. I think I've mentioned her in the past. Well every week she insists on telling me that in her day they didn't have sunscreen and she now has all of these medical issues and I should never forget to wear sunscreen. She also thinks I am the most fashionable person on the planet and for those of you who know me knows she probably doesn't get out very much! Every time I wear a hat she says "oh I love that scarf. When I was your age we used to wear scarves on our heads like that". I try and calmly tell her that it's a hat and she laughs at me and says "oh it is? you are just so fashionable. you are the only person who can pull that off". Now i know she is old and delusional!!!

We have another old client who has been known to be....well not the nicest. The first time I met her I said a proper hello and greeted her with a big smile. She proceeded to purse her lips at me (like she just ate a lemon) and nod her head. She refused to say a word to me. I knew I was in for it. So I decided I will win her over :) It has become like a game! The second time she came in I greeted her with a smile said " Hello are you having a good day?". Her response (hey at least she responded) was "Honey, I never have a good day" (picture old, ex jewish new york woman). Let the game begin!!! So I have been working on her week after week, I've been hearing her war stories of how she has made people cry or told them they would be beautiful if they didn't put tattoos on their bodies. Needles to say the last couple of times she has come in she has smiled at me, thanked me an actually been somewhat kind to me. I am waiting for the shoe to drop at any moment and I will be very prepared. If my next blog is tear soaked you'll know why :)

LA FASHION WEEKEND: What a very long 3 days. I did hair for designers like Betsey Johnson, Karen Capili, Kelly Nishimoto and more... There were 15-30 models per show with about 8 hair stylists. It was a lot of estrogen in a short period of time mixed with people that have egos so I am sure you can gather a mental image. At one point one of the models I was working on got into a cat fight with 2 other models and the tension was ROUGH! Every station was pretty much playing different kinds of music and one of the models didn't like the music our station was listening to and made some snap comment. My model then snapped back and a third model thought my model was attacking her. WHAT A MESS! There is no drama like the drama between hungry girls! (We hadn't had lunch yet)
On Saturday a model and a designer (I can't say which one) got into a fight as well. The designer said and I quote " You are a c*nt and I hope you trip on the runway". Never ever a dull moment.
Backstage was chaos. It was hot in a tent and the girls are sweating off their makeup, their hair is falling everyone is getting naked and changing people are running around like crazy. It was just like I pictured it to be.
All in all it was a great experience. I can't say that I understand fashion very well because the outfits women wear to these events is sometimes more of an event then the runway. I have attached some photos and I will probably upload a picture blog next so I can show you all my updated work and some more fun photos on what's happening. I will be doing pick ups this week on Sexy Evil Genius so hopefully I'll have some more photos from that as well.

Being part of Fashion Weekend landed me in the background of the news doing hair. I will get the link soon and post it along with the link to the Boys and Girls Club PSA I worked on :)

Until next time...

Life as an assistant - An Evening of Sequins

Hello All!

I know it's been less then a week form the last blog but I was too excited not to post pictures and share my adventures of this past weekend!

So yesterday was a very full day in the world of me! I woke up early and rushed to the Pacific Palisades to do hair for the Emmy's. My clients husband was up for an award :) (HE WON!!!!)

THEN I rushed home to have my makeup done by my good friend and AMAZING makeup artist Marianne so I could be picked up by 6 to hit a post Emmy's party. As I walked into the old converted and gorgeous church in downtown I did what every hairstylist does...checked out the hair styles and fashion! The Life of an Assistant- And All that Jazz

Ok Ok it's been a while! I am totally slacking on my blogging abilities! But that is only because I have been doing GREAT things!!!

I think the last time I wrote I told you all about how I started at a new salon in Culver City. Let me just begin by saying it is the BEST job EVER! I couldn't be more happy to have found the perfect home and fit for me. I work 3 days a week and I am able to bring in clients the rest of the week. Lets just say I'll have my own chair there shortly. (That's the goal). I have already learned so, so much. I have cut my hair cutting time by over half, sped up color time and I am rocking keratin treatments/highlights. Our clients are amazing and most know me by now so I know the crazies vs. the awesome.

I am running a promotion for this month for FREE HAIRCUTS!!! If you want one contact me. If you need prices for anything else please contact me as well!!!!

On another night I am doing hair for the Emmy's this Sunday so I hope to post pictures soon. I was able to book fashion week which means I am doing 9 shows!!! SOOO EXCITED.

I am also attaching some pictures of hair I did for the posters on The Secret Circle. They took the hair I did and implanted it on to models. So check em out!!!

Anyways I'm sure that's enough infor for now! I will write again very soon! Promise!
